Cook Pasta Quickly in a Frying Pan
I love this tip about cooking pasta in a frying pan! Not only does it save water, but it also saves cooking time and can save on your energy bill as well!
Simply place some uncooked pasta in a frying pan (you might have to break the pasta in half so it will fit). I also suggest using a frying pan that has high sides, like this one from Nordic Ware. Next, pour cold water over the pasta, just enough to cover the pasta. The cold water helps prevent the pasta from sticking to itself. Place the pasta on the stove and heat until the pasta is done cooking to your liking. The water will turn into a thickened liquid, which you can then use as a base for your sauce if you choose.
