Fruity Smoothie
Many people associate fruit smoothies with summer but I enjoy them year-round! There is almost always some sort of fresh fruit available for making a great-tasting smoothie at home, and if not, there is always the option of using canned fruit instead. If you choose to use canned fruit, however, be sure to rinse the fruit off first to get rid of any sugar, especially if the fruit is packed in syrup.
In this smoothie recipe, I used Chobani non-fat Greek raspberry yogurt, but any yogurt works great (note that if you use a different yogurt, the recipe’s nutrient info might be different than what’s displayed in the label below).
I also use my Hamilton Beach personal blender for making smoothies. I love this personal blender because you can drink right out of the cup, making for less clean-up afterwards. Plus, this blender has a convenient cord storage and it doesn’t take up much space.
- 1 container 5 oz. non-fat Greek raspberry yogurt
- 4-5 strawberries chopped
- 1 small yellow peach chopped
-
Add the yogurt to the blender.
-
Add the strawberries and peach to the blender.
-
Blend to the desired consistency.
