People often ask me what books I like about healthy eating and cooking, which kitchen appliances I use, and how I started my garden. Therefore, I created this page to show you all of my favorite things. I would not recommend these products if I did not find them to be helpful. I will be updating this page as I find more products that I enjoy and want to share with you.

This is such a fun and useful book! It contains hundreds of tips and tricks, and advice, about working with food – from prep work to cooking to choosing the right kitchen gadgets, and so much more. Want to know how to speed up making lasagna? How to maximize the flavor of shellfish? What to do with leftover spinach? It’s all in this book! Learn More
In this book about the Western diet, Michael Pollan discusses how many people generally do not eat food anymore – they eat something referred to as food – and what people can do to start making healthier choices with food. He also discusses the role that medical professionals and the government play in the food choices that people make and the types of food that companies choose to manufacture. Learn More
The China Study discusses how your diet and living a healthy lifestyle can reduce your risk of various medical conditions. This study, performed by a researcher and his son (who is a doctor) is said to be the most comprehensive study ever done regarding the relationship between the food you eat and the risk of developing a disease. My mandolin is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets! It’s so much easier (and safer) using a mandoline to slice food such as potatoes and onions. This mandolin has three different thicknesses to choose from and also has a lock feature to keep your fingers safe when the mandolin isn’t being used. Learn More
This chopper is perfect for chopping small amounts of food, and can also be used for making salsa. All you do is place the food in the bowl and push the button until you have the desired consistency. It’s easy to clean and the compact size makes it easy to store. Learn More
I originally bought this for making smoothies during the hot summers, but then realized it can be used for so many other things as well. The travel lid makes it super convenient, and because the blending is done in the jar you drink from, you don’t need to transfer anything to another cup or bowl. Learn More
My main beverage to drink during the day is water but that can get a little boring at times. With this infusion maker, you can easily add fresh flavor to your water by adding fresh fruit and veggies to the removable infusion maker. It also comes in lots of great colors if you’re not a fan of the raspberry color! Learn More
I use olive oil in a lot of food that I cook, and this sprayer bottle makes it so much easier to cook with. I find myself using much less olive oil on my food than when I was pouring olive oil directly from my olive oil bottle, but I’m still getting the same great taste. It can also be used as a non-stick spray in your pots and pans. Learn More
I’ve been using toaster ovens for years – in fact, I rarely use my conventional oven because just about everything can be prepared with my toaster oven. Of course, it takes the place of a toaster as well. Toaster ovens also use a lot less electricity than a regular oven and do not take up much counter space. There are also baking pans available for use with toaster ovens so you can easily make casseroles and other recipes. Learn More
These containers really do keep your produce fresh for longer! I have a few of these containers in various sizes, and they help keep my produce nicely stored in my refrigerator. They are easy to use and clean, and the filters are permanent so they don’t ever need to be replaced. Learn More
When I first decided to convert part of my backyard into a fruit and vegetable garden, I did a lot of research about garden beds – I never knew there were so many options! I finally decided upon these garden beds because they seemed easy to put together (they really are) and I liked the fact that they are made from recycled products, meaning they won’t rot. Learn More
